Horses entering Puerto Rico:
Effective February 2007, the department of Agriculture (USDA) is requiring the following Vaccinations for all Horses entering Puerto Rico:
• 6 month Coggins test (EIA)
• Influenza Vaccine
• Rhinoneumonitis / Herpes Virus Vaccine
• Rabies Vaccine
• Eastern & Western Encephalitis Vaccine
• West Nile Virus Vaccine
• CEM blood test only waiting for resuls not necessary
Health Certificate within 30 days, showing final destination and all vaccines are to be written on front of certificate along with the dates
The horse must be free of ticks. The horse must be in good health and that must be stated on the health certificate.
Horses entering the Camarero Racetrack** must fax over to our office no later than Thursday before the trip: A copy of the health certificate showing all the vaccines.
** This is very important! The Racing Administration will verify all vaccines and then sign your pass to be able to enter the racetrack.
** If the papers are not in order or have not been received in time your horse will be taken to H S A and you will be billed extra shipping and boarding charges.
